Expanding Access to Life-Saving CPR Training

During an emergency, the first few seconds are critical. Recognizing the signs and responding quickly can be the difference between life and death. But confidence to act in those critical moments begins long before an emergency occurs  — it begins with access to training.

For many Spanish-speaking families and workers, CPR certification is not always available in their language or at an affordable cost. Without accessible instruction, gaining life-saving skills can feel out of reach.

To eliminate that barrier, our CPR training is conducted entirely in Spanish and led by an American Red Cross-certified instructor. Participants practice real-life scenarios, learn to identify cardiac emergencies, and receive hands-on training in CPR for adults, children, and infants. When instruction is delivered in participants’ native language, medical terminology is clearer, questions are easier to ask, and learning becomes more engaging and empowering — building the confidence to act calmly and effectively.

That confidence extends beyond the classroom. For childcare providers, caregivers, and employees across industries, accessible CPR training ensures readiness is already in place when it’s needed most. In childcare centers, workplaces, and homes, emergencies can happen without warning. Having someone trained nearby means help can begin immediately—without delay, without confusion, and without language barriers.

That commitment to preparedness is already growing across Omaha. Recently, Little Dino’s Childcare certified their employees through our training, ensuring their team is prepared to act quickly in the event of a medical emergency. Their participation reflects a proactive investment in the safety of the children and families they serve every day.

By continuing to offer accessible, Spanish-language CPR training, we are ensuring that life-saving knowledge does not depend on language or cost, because access to life-saving skills is not a luxury —  it is a necessity.
