¡Sí Se Puede!: Graduation Season at the Latino Center

Spring marks a special season of achievement at the Latino Center of the Midlands. As we gather to celebrate graduations across our Adult Education and Pathways to Success programs, we reflect on the hard work, commitment, and courage it takes for our students to pursue their goals and the bright futures that await them.

Graduation is a major milestone for our Adult Education students, many of whom have returned to the classroom after years away. These learners come to the Latino Center with a purpose: to improve their English, earn their GED, prepare for U.S. citizenship, and gain the confidence to navigate daily life. Many are parents, workers, and caregivers who make time for education despite demanding schedules.

This semester, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of 11 Adult Education students who successfully completed their courses and advanced in their educational journeys.

We also celebrate the remarkable students in our Pathways to Success program, which not only supports middle and high school youth with mentorship, academic guidance, and culturally rooted leadership, but also empowers them to recognize their strengths, connect with their cultural identity, and take ownership of their future!

This season, 19 students in the Pathways to Success program are graduating high school, each equipped with the tools and encouragement to pursue their next steps with confidence.

We are incredibly proud of every graduate, and we remain committed to walking alongside them as they take their next steps. Whether it’s enrolling in a  class in our Adult Education program, applying for a new job, or becoming a mentor to someone else, their journey continues—and so does our support.
